Critique the blog

Please post your comments and suggestions on how to improve the blog – layout, structure, appearance, functionality and content.

Our vision for the blog is to enable every user to freely post comments on the discussion topics and to comment on each others’ posts. We plan to add the capability of using rich multi-media content including, graphics, voice and video.

The reality is that we are selecting and testing themes (designs) for the blog from a library of pre-programmed templates. Each theme has pros and cons. We are unsure about how many desirable changes (many from your suggestions) we can accomplish with these templates, given our limited programming resources – but Swathy and Hema are working diligently on this.

The current blog design is a step in the direction of achieving our vision, as we pursue our commitment to continuously improve functionality, aesthetics and ease of use – leading to a “professional” quality experience. Thanks for your suggestions and contributions. Best wishes, PC.

  1. I certainly like this new look. Very attractive. The color is very soothing to the eyes. I was wondering if we can have a hit meter. This might give us an idea as to how many people often browse the blog. I know it’s a different idea. But my suggestion.

I also like the monthly archive as we can keep track of the previous archives too.
We can also have all the 4 questions we are supposed to comment on one below the other. Once we click on Discussion on Purposeful Action and Blog Design, we need to click on older entries to see the next question.

  2. I like the new look, but I don’t see those other topics for the discussion anywhere on this page. The older version had them listed in the box under “Categories” if I’m not mistaking.

  3. This is great work – kudos to whoever had a part in revamping the webpage! I like how the clutter’s been taken away and the number of posts are listed next to the discussion on the homepage. The only thing I like from the old view was how the comments were on the same page as the post, but I guess this keeps the front page from being too long. Anyways, great work y’all

  4. We can have a nice logo/symbol for blog. A unique logo/symbol which represents qualities like leadership, purpose, integrity, ethics…Etc. Even the navigator symbol which is present in http://www.purposefulaction.com can be included in this blog. May be we can display in the top right corner of the page.
