In phase 1 we basically decide on a vision or a goal which we have been dreaming off for a long time.
Phase II is when we start to realize that the dream can be a reality if and when done in the right way. The evaluation of resources and the dedication given by oneself is the best way shown in the phase II.
The phase III is when we realize that we are closer to our dream and we assess what has been done so far to reach the destination. So I don’t think any particular phase of purposeful action is particularly applicable. All are equally imporatnt for continuous quality and Kaizen
Quality improvement has been a major theme in worldwide and it is always a continuous process. Only through this continuous process one can achieve a perfect result. So all the 12 steps that are being mentioned in “The purposeful action “blog can be almost related to Quality improvement. When we compare the processes involved in implementing Quality improvement and 12 steps, they tend to be almost similar.
1.Phase -1 which defines the purposes like the inner search of vision, looking to others to refine the vision and committing to the objective, the step 1 which is introspection is most likely related to quality check.
2. Phase -2 is performing an action which includes setting a goal, defining the strategy, developing the plan and organizational layout, staffing, providing direction and training.
3. Phase-3 deals with reviewing and renewing an action like assessment, renewal and reinforcement of the actions.
So all the 12 steps should be executed phase by phase and it is always a continuous process. In my view for a continuous quality improvement all the 12 steps are necessary and should be done in the same order while performing an action.
